Langports New Timetable

09.08.2016

Matt Hopkins 2Hi Guys!

It’s Matt here, Director of Studies of Langports Brisbane. Today, I would like to talk to you about Langports exciting new timetable that has just been introduced from August 1st across all three campuses.

After surveying previous students and listening to their feedback requesting a more flexible timetable, new specialised Option classes and additional workshops, Langports has adopted a new approach to its timetable.

Flexibility – With many Langports students holding Student or Working Holiday Visas, students wanted to be able to finish classes earlier in order to work. The new (and earlier) finish time of 2:40pm allows for this.

Specialised Options – Over the last few years, more and more students have expressed the desire to study English which is directly related to their work. So, as well as revamping English for Business Administration for higher level students, Langports has launched a new Introduction to Business English for lower level students. In addition, specialised Options classes have been launched including English for Engineering and Science (Brisbane Campus), English for Media and the Internet (Gold Coast Campus) and English for Finance and Law (Sydney Campus).

Language Workshops – Finally, Langports understands that some students do not want to finish earlier, but want more study time. This is where the Language Workshops come in. It gives students the opportunity to look at different topics not offered in the usual UFO programme. For those students who do not want to have a workshop every day, English Extension has been designed for you. This is a drop-in centre where teachers are available to answer your questions.
