Happy New Year everyone!
I’m Anna France, the CEO of Langports. For those of you who don’t know me, I have been working at Langports for 15 years. I am the daughter of John France (the Founder of Langports) and I am honoured to be part of our family business and to have the opportunity to be the new leader of Langports.
Last year as you may know, was Langports’ 15 year anniversary! We opened in 2004 in Brisbane and I am extremely proud to see what we’ve achieved.
I would like to share with you some of the highlights from the last 15 years!
Established 3 schools:
December 2004, John France the Founder of Langports opened our school at 192 Ann Street, Brisbane
April 2007, Anna France and John France opened our Gold Coast school at 60 Appel St, Surfers Paradise
September 2014, Langports opened our Sydney school at 53 Murray St, Pyrmont
Established the Langports Foundation:
September 2007, John France established The Langports Foundation – a charity to help disadvantaged children through education- January 2011, The Langports Foundation helps first Yalari students – Chelsea, Kara, Ricky and Justin
December 2013, The Langports Foundation makes its first trip to Cherbourg lead by Susie France (now an annual trip with student to this unique indigenous community)- February 2015, The Langports foundation supports Yalari student Norah (on her 6 year high school program)
- December 2016, Yalari scholar Chelsea graduated from high school after 6 years of support
February 2017, the first Langports Foundation SAYL scholarship student arrives at Langports Sydney- February 2018, the second Langports Foundation SAYL scholarship student arrives at Langports Brisbane
- February 2018, The Langports foundation supports Yalari student Carnett (on his 6 year high school program)
- February 2019, the third and fourth Langports Foundation SAYL scholarship students arrive at Langports Brisbane and Gold Coast

- January 2015, Langports Brisbane won award – “Best language school in Australia” from EducationStars (Langports Gold Coast #2, Sydney #3)
- January 2016, Langports Brisbane won award – “Best language school in Australia” from EducationStars (Langports Gold Coast #2, Sydney #3)
- January 2017, Langports Brisbane won award – “Best language school in Australia” from EducationStars (Langports Gold Coast #2, Sydney #4)

Other important events:
Langports Brisbane & Gold Coast have competed in 24 Langports Games! (started in 2008)
There are so many amazing things done every day by our staff, I would also like to acknowledge my appreciation of all the staff (past and present) who have made Langports such an amazing school.
I’m excited to see what 2020 will bring as we start the journey for the next 15 years!
