Hello Everyone! It’s Anna here from the Marketing Team and I’m writing the blog today to tell you all about the last few exciting weeks at Langports Sydney! As you have probably heard, on Monday we welcomed our first students to the new campus. We have been working hard for many years and months preparing for this day and are really pleased to finally have Langports students learning English in Sydney!
Our new staff members welcomed the first students on Monday with a special orientation including a cruise on Darling Harbour Bay and a visit to the world famous ‘Sydney Opera House’. Kiyoko from Japan, who transferred from the Langports Brisbane campus, loves the new school and commented, “It’s really bright and there are big spaces, it is brand new and every staff are always smiling”.
The excitement started about 2 weeks ago, when the construction of the first stage of the construction was complete and we could start welcoming visitors to have a ‘preview’ of our new campus! Local partners representing students from Asia, Latin America and Europe enjoyed visiting our new school. A few of them even contributed to the decoration, putting up clocks on the walls and helping put together classroom tables and chairs! We cannot wait to welcome more of our partners in the coming weeks.
We also welcomed some students to see the campus before we opened and experience our unique UFO English program; approximately 15 students attended our afternoon teas and free lessons! We are hosting 2 more free lessons this week for local Sydney students; you can send an email to info@langports.com if you are interested to join.
Over the coming weeks, Langports Sydney will be welcoming students from Japan, Germany, Brazil, Switzerland, Taiwan, Korea, France, Colombia, Russia, Spain, Paraguay and Czech Republic. We are really happy with the nationality mix of students who have chosen to study at our new campus and can’t wait to meet them all.
