My top favorite places in Sydney

20.05.2015

HChloe - Receptionistello everybody, my name is Chloe and I am receptionist at Langports Sydney campus. In this blog, I will tell you about the best places to visit in Sydney.

My favourite places to go in Sydney for shopping would be visiting the markets either at The Rocks, Bondi, Glebe, Paddington or at RozelleIf you are looking for fresh produce such as fruit, bread, cakes, desserts and art and crafts, The Rocks is the market for you. If you want trendy fashion from upcoming designers or trendy second hand clothing Glebe, Bondi, Paddington and Rozelle would be the place for you. Showcasing a variety of designer clothes to bric- a- brac and furniture you easily get a bargain as well as enjoying the food stalls and live music.

My favourite places to eat would be 10 minutes from Sydney CBD in a place called Newtown. Newtown is a funky place with a lot of restaurants, cafes, bars and clothes stores. One of my favourite places to eat is  ‘Gigis’ for some amazing pizza, ‘Marys’ for some fried chicken, ‘Hartsyard’ for some fancy feasts, ‘Miss Peaches’ for some American food and ‘N2’ for some chocolate injected gelato. At night time Newtown is alive with live bands, DJs and cheap drinks for a good night clubbing and dancing.

One of the top places to explore is of course the Blue Mountains. If you are into adventure the Blue Mountains is a place with a lot of walking, hiking trails and a suspension bridge with amazing views. An over-night weekend trip to the Blue Mountains with hiking or canyoning, checking out the local markets up there and exploring the Jenolan Caves as well as meeting the local wildlife is a fun filled weekend event not to be missed.

Beaches are of course a favourite to explore in Sydney with Bondi being our most famous. However my favourite place to explore would be Manly where most of my summer is usually spent. At Manly harbour there is a place called Jump Rock.  Most of my childhood was spent jumping off this 4/6 metre high platform. Other places to explore would be secluded beaches or waterfalls in Wattomolla, Collins Beach, Winifred Falls in the Royal National Park and the Blue Mountains.
