Hey Everyone! My name is Shane Taas. I am the new Activities Officer here at Langports Gold Coast. I am looking forward to working along with such a committed and dedicated team and meeting all of our students from all over the world!
I have lived on the Gold Coast all my life and have done nearly every activity you can possibly imagine! As we are approaching the cooler months here on the Gold Coast here are my top 5 activities to do from April — September.
1. SeaWorld
This is a great day out for students to check out seals, dolphins, sharks, penguins marine life and Australia’s only Polar Bear Exhibit.
2. Q1 Skypoint
One of the tallest buildings in Australia, students can visit the 77th floor and see the Gold Coast in full 360 degree view either by day or night.
3. Movieworld
For students who enjoy the thrill rides and the entertainment industry, Movieworld has it all under the one roof. It’s located next to Village Roadshow Studios where they are currently filming ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 5’.
4. Wet N Wild
The largest water park in Australia, Wet N Wild provides students a great day out interacting and having fun with a diverse mix of rides.
5. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
Students can get up close with Australia’s native species including Dingoes, Crocodiles, Kangaroos, Lorikeets and other Australian animals. It’s also a favourite amongst students to get a photo whilst cuddling a Koala.
So there you have it, my top 5 things activities to do on the Gold Coast. I believe students make the most of their time in Australia learning, not just in a classroom environment, but when they participate in activities at Langports. It’s a great way to interact with students and providing them with a memorable experience. Don’t forget to check our activities calendars for the coming months.
