Hello everyone! I am Valentina the Students Services Manager at Langports Sydney.
Today I want to talk a bit about the great activities coming up for this winter in Sydney :). We have had a great Summer with staff and students visiting Summer festivals, surf camps, beach Barbeques and much more all over Sydney!
With the rain and cold coming, lots of us (me included) will be looking forward to snuggling under a blanket at home to watch the new season of Game of Thrones.
But the cooler weather doesn’t mean there isn’t still plenty to do in Sydney.
Great activities to do in Sydney during winter time
There’s the 19th Biennale of Sydney at the Museum of Contemporary Art this year – free art for all to enjoy!

Vivid festival is coming up in May with great installations all across the city.

Bondi is usually full of surfers, but in May, we’ll be able to do a bit of ice-skating there with the Winter magic festival and ice-skating rink set up. To find more information click this link http://www.bondiwintermagic.org.au/
Of course there are still all the nice and cosy pubs around Sydney to hang out with friends, have a beer and eat something hearty.
Many of us over Summer have joined our local gym SNAP fitness in their boot camps, BBQs and outdoor fitness gigs. As it cools down, we won’t be outside as much, but SNAP are still putting on fun fitness events for the Winter. We’ll be heading over for their Jazz and DJ nights to work out to awesome live music, keep fit, have fun and make new friends locally.
I am definitely the kind of person that prefers summer over winter, but looking at Sydney’s events for the next few months, I think it should go quickly when having fun!
Thank you!!
